Amy Smart was an American model and actress. Born in California USA, Amy Smart started her modeling career in California. She began her acting career in 1996, when she appeared in her debut in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. After that, she was a star in a small role in the movie Starship Troopers she struggled very hard. This was not easy for Amy because she had change from modeling to the acting profession. Models aren't thought of as great actors, so they usually get smaller, insignificant roles. Amy did not give up. Her first big roles were in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. Amy then stepped into main roles for the 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy finally got the recognition she'd been seeking more than a decade. She continued with significant films like the Crank series starring Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she was a well loved recurring character.
